Zelensky compares the Patriot system with Kellogg and offers him Ukrainian citizenship
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a noteworthy and somewhat surprising statement about the US special envoy, Keith Kellogg, during his speech in Kyiv.
The head of state emphasized that, in his opinion, the American diplomat is no less effective in air defense than the renowned Patriot systems, which are actively used to protect Ukraine’s skies.
Zelensky pointed out that amid ongoing hostilities, where Ukraine faces regular attacks from Russian aircraft and drones, a reliable defense is crucial — and in this context, he highly appreciated Kellogg’s role.
In a gesture of support, Zelensky even proposed offering Kellogg Ukrainian citizenship, promising to provide whatever assistance needed, including housing, to ensure his comfort.
He also referenced a recent Russian night attack that involved 40 combat drones, of which Ukrainian forces shot down 33, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced on the front lines.
