Nerwacki’s Spokesperson: September 10th to Be Marked in History as a Day of Russian Aggression Against NATO Countries

Chas Pravdy - 11 September 2025 13:36

Amid increasing tensions between Western nations and Russia, the events of September 10th have acquired a special significance for the history of modern Europe and the Alliance’s security.

This day will be remembered as a symbol of large-scale aggression by the Russian Federation against one of the NATO member countries – Poland.

According to Rafal Lasekiewicz, spokesperson for the Polish president, nearly twenty Russian drones crossed Polish airspace during the night, triggering a robust response from national defense forces.

Some of the UAVs were shot down, but others managed to penetrate the territory, causing damage and heightening public concern.

As a result of the attack, a residential building was destroyed, leaving one family homeless.

This marks the first incident in NATO history where an attack of such scale and nature targeted a member country.

The spokesperson emphasized that this event is not only political but also historic, destined to be recorded in future history books.

The Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, expressed hope that NATO’s response to this violation would be decisive and effective enough to deter further escalation by Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

For the first time in NATO’s history, a drone was shot down over a member country’s territory – by Dutch military pilots, highlighting the alliance’s readiness to defend its eastern flank and sending a strong message to Putin.

Analysts stress that these events serve as a clear signal to Russia, demonstrating NATO countries’ ability to respond to emerging threats.

Currently, efforts are underway to locate all drones that entered Polish airspace, with politicians affirming that NATO’s response will be a significant step in preventing further escalation of the conflict.
