Kaja Kallas Predicts Ukraine War Will Last At Least Two More Years and Calls for Greater Pressure on Russia

The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, recently gave an interview to a Spanish news outlet where she made a significant statement regarding the duration of the war in Ukraine.

According to her, the conflict, which has already lasted over a year, could continue for at least another two years.

This forecast is based on the fact that the situation on the battlefield has reached a deadlock, with Russia increasingly showing boldness—evidenced by the recent drone attack on Poland, which raised international concerns.

Kallas emphasized that as long as Russia does not fulfill its obligations, including paying reparations to Ukraine, the frozen assets of the country will not be released.

At the same time, EU experts believe that further escalation of hostilities is inevitable unless there is a change in leadership in relevant countries.

The international community’s efforts should focus on increasing pressure on Russia and supporting Ukraine.

Kallas stressed that only through intensified diplomatic and military actions can peace be achieved, as Putin is not interested in negotiations and will prolong the war until forced to retreat.

Therefore, she concluded, targeted efforts to boost aid to Ukraine and complicate the situation for the aggressor are essential.
