The European Union has collectively condemned Russia’s recent actions, particularly its deliberate breach of Polish airspace, which has raised serious concerns among member states and the international community.

High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, speaking on behalf of all 27 member countries, firmly denounced these acts, labeling them as aggressive and irresponsible.

She emphasized that such provocations undermine regional stability and threaten the security of EU citizens, while also posing risks to global peace.Kallas stated that the EU will respond more decisively by escalating economic and political sanctions against Russia, while increasing support for Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

She added that European diplomacy is working closely with global partners to apply pressure on Moscow to halt its military actions. The EU expresses full solidarity with Poland and offers assistance in strengthening its eastern borders, working alongside Polish authorities to ensure regional security and stability.

Poland confirmed that Russian military aircraft violated its airspace at least 19 times on September 10, with unofficial sources reporting over 20 UAV incursions.Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski remarked that Russia deliberately attacked his country as part of its broader confrontational strategy against NATO, and accused the Kremlin of lying about its involvement.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that military authorities recorded at least 19 violations of Polish airspace, while some sources indicate more than 20 UAVs penetrated Polish territory.

The government representatives highlighted that NATO invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, which involves consultations and collective security measures in response to security threats.
