Israeli Foreign Ministry Condemns Russian Attack on Yarova: Over 20 Dead and Growing Security Concerns
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern and condolences following a tragic incident in the village of Yarova in Donetsk region, where Russian forces carried out a missile strike targeting civilians.
According to official sources, the attack resulted in the death of more than twenty Ukrainian citizens, including pensioners and individuals who had come to collect social benefits at a mobile branch of ‘Ukrposhta’.
The MFA of Ukraine expressed sorrow over this large-scale devastation and called on the international community to condemn such crimes that violate humanitarian law and leave the population without means of survival.In an official statement on the platform X (formerly Twitter), the Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed its alarm about this incident, condemning the violence against peaceful civilians and urging an end to hostilities.
Israeli Prime Minister and global leaders are calling for open dialogue and diplomatic solutions to resolve the conflict, aiming to prevent further victims and destruction among civilians.Previously, Igor Smeliansky, CEO of ‘Ukrposhta’, suggested that the coordinates of the mobile postal unit, which arrived in Yarova on September 9 to pay pensions and social benefits, may have been deliberately leaked by the adversary.
Subsequently, a guided airbomb was launched at the mobile facility, leading to the tragic loss of life.Vadym Filyashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that the number of casualties in Yarova had increased to 25, with ongoing efforts to assist the injured and recover victims.
This incident highlights the ongoing tension and severity of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, and underscores the urgent need for international response and enhanced security measures for civilians.
