Thousand of Residents in Kherson Region Remain Without Power Amid Energy Crisis During Occupation
In the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, the situation with electricity supply is worsening daily.
According to reports from the Ukrainian National Resistance, thousands of residents are left without power due to worn-out electrical networks and a shortage of qualified personnel in energy companies.
The infrastructure cannot withstand the extreme heat caused by the ongoing heatwave, compounded by the lack of specialists capable of maintaining the system.
As a result, more than 10,000 people in the region face electricity outages, complicating their daily lives and creating additional challenges for local authorities.
Additionally, water supply issues persist in eastern Ukraine: due to destroyed pipelines by occupying forces and refusal to build new ones, residents have been without potable water for several days.
As winter approaches, there is a real threat of complete collapse of the heating system, which could lead to severe humanitarian consequences.
Authorities and volunteers appeal to international organizations to increase aid and expedite repair work to stabilize the critical situation in Kherson oblast.
