Occupying authorities in Sevastopol promote propaganda «diaries» for schoolchildren within the framework of the „Year of Defender of the Fatherland”

In the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol, local authorities are actively engaged in disseminating propaganda materials among the youth, particularly through the distribution of so-called «diaries», aimed at fostering patriotic feelings and shaping a positive attitude towards the occupation policies.

The latest edition of children’s «diaries» has been issued within the framework of the „Year of Defender of the Fatherland” campaign and is dedicated to the theme «City-Hero Sevastopol.

City of Heroes».

This publication, designed for the 2025–2026 school year, contains texts and illustrations that glorify Russian military personnel and heroize their actions in the context of the so-called «special military operation».

The pages include stories about participants of the conflict and ideological narratives emphasizing silent support for military actions.

According to the Strategic Communications Center, such editions are a vivid example of systemic propaganda and brainwashing of future generations in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Over the years of the war and occupation, an entire generation of children has grown up deprived of Ukrainian language, culture, and truthful history.

Ukrainian textbooks depict Ukraine as an «enemy», while Crimea is portrayed as historically Russian.

Additionally, earlier the Center for National Resistance reported that the occupying administration in the Zaporizhzhia region is forcibly deporting talented Ukrainian youth to Russia.

Over the past year alone, more than a thousand high school students from the region have been sent to Moscow and St.

Petersburg for so-called «university changes» and oil industry training, with promises of benefits for gifted students.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin is preparing the rest of the youth for military service and future participation in the war against Ukraine, aligning with its broader strategic goals.
