Israel prepares for large-scale strike on Gaza: a new phase of aggression and a call for Hamas capitulation
Recent developments in the Israel-Palestine conflict point to escalating tensions and intensified military actions.
According to reports from international agencies, on September 8, Israel plans to launch a massive wave of airstrikes against the Gaza Strip, which it describes as a ‘powerful barrage.’ Tel Aviv aims to deliver a stern warning to Hamas militants that their resistance could lead to the destruction of the enclave if they refuse to meet demands to release all hostages and surrender.
Residents report that Israeli air forces have already bombed parts of Gaza, destroying old armored vehicles on its streets and hitting key infrastructure targets.
Meanwhile, Hamas has announced that it is studying the latest ceasefire proposal from the United States, presented on September 7, which U.S.
President Donald Trump described as a ‘last chance’ for militants to avoid annihilation.
Sources indicate that the U.S.
demands the immediate release of all 48 hostages — both living and deceased — on the first day of the ceasefire, during which negotiations on ending the conflict will take place.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a forceful ultimatum to Hamas fighters and their sponsors, urging them to consider this as the final opportunity.
“Today, the skies over Gaza will be thundered with mighty strikes, and terror towers will tremble.
This is the last warning to Hamas killers and rapists: free the hostages and lay down your arms, or Gaza will be destroyed, and you will be annihilated,” he posted on X.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces continue their military campaign, pushing deeper into Gaza and striking several critical sites, including a 12-story residential building in the city center.
Prior to these operations, Israeli officials urged residents and hundreds of refugees in tents to evacuate the zone to prevent civilian casualties.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has expressed Israel’s readiness to accept the proposed ceasefire plan from the U.S., which envisages the complete surrender of Hamas and the release of hostages.
The situation remains tense, with actions from both sides continuing to shock the international community with their intensity and decisiveness.
