Government officials show foreign diplomats the aftermath of Russian attacks on Kyiv’s Cabinet building

In Kyiv, government representatives provided foreign diplomatic officials with a detailed look at the extensive damages inflicted by Russian airstrikes, marking one of the most significant air attack incidents since the full-scale invasion began.

Sixty heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine were present during the briefing, where they observed the cracks and holes that appeared on the facade and interior of the Cabinet building following powerful enemy strikes.

Currently, work is underway to assess and mitigate the damage, including urgent repairs to the damaged roof that will serve as the initial step toward restoring the affected infrastructure.

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko emphasized that this missile attack represents a new phase in Russia’s tactics, moving from targeting critical infrastructure to focusing directly on government institutions.

She described the attack as a clear signal that Russia continues to refuse peace efforts and openly mocks diplomatic attempts by the civilized world.

Sviridenko highlighted that this conflict is an existential war, as evidenced by the tragic loss of a two-month-old child and a young mother—victims of the deliberate and callous shelling of civilian targets.

She expressed gratitude to the diplomats present, whose solidarity underscores international support in Ukraine’s ongoing struggle for sovereignty and survival.
