Zelensky Calls for Decisive Action in Response to Russian Strikes and Expects Strong Support from the US
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his perspective on the recent massive missile attacks carried out by Russia on Ukrainian territory.
He emphasized that the international community, particularly the United States, must respond actively and continue exerting pressure through stringent sanctions and diplomatic measures to curb the aggressor and send a clear message that any new attacks are unacceptable.
Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine’s diplomatic service is already informing international partners about Russia’s escalation and urged for a swift and firm reaction.
According to him, the Kremlin aims to break Ukraine’s resolve and the global community with their ‘bold’ strikes, which signal that Putin is testing the limits of patience and determining subsequent actions.
Consequently, Ukraine advocates for additional sanctions against the Russian regime, as well as increased trade restrictions and the application of a broad spectrum of economic leverage to make Russia feel the tangible consequences of its actions.
Zelensky stressed that this determination and strategic unity among world leaders are vital for deterring the aggressor and restoring peace in the region.
