Kellogg Stresses: Russia’s Strike on Kyiv Does Not Signal Intent to End War Diplomatically
US Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, made a significant statement regarding Russia’s recent missile strike on Kyiv, emphasizing that this attack should not be interpreted as a sign of Moscow’s intention to end the war through diplomatic means.
According to Kellogg, Russia’s largest air raid during the ongoing full-scale conflict confirms its willingness to escalate the confrontation rather than resolve it peacefully.
He stressed that such developments are dangerous and could lead to further instability both within Ukraine and in the broader region.
Kellogg mentioned that he personally visited the Kyiv government building with Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko last week and witnessed the extent of destruction and tension present there.
The expert pointed out that historical precedents show that actions of this kind often only deepen conflicts and can lead to uncontrollable escalation.
International governments continue to call for restraint and diplomatic solutions; however, Kellogg noted that Russia’s current stance indicates a clear desire for escalation.
He added that the efforts of the global community are aimed at preventing further war and avoiding an even larger-scale conflict.
