Russian Provocations in Chernihiv: Fake Money and Calls for Collaboration
In the city of Chernihiv, law enforcement officials have recorded a new provocation by Russian forces aimed at misleading residents using counterfeit money and calls for collaboration.
On September 6, leaflets resembling 100 hryvnia banknotes were found in one of the neighborhoods, bearing messages urging citizens to share their coordinates and assist in directing fire at Ukrainian military positions.
According to the Chernihiv police, these flyers were dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle, indicating Russian involvement in their distribution.
The counterfeit banknotes quickly circulated among the public through media outlets.
Authorities reminded citizens that cooperation with the enemy entails severe criminal responsibility, urging vigilance and reporting such provocations.
This incident further confirms that the adversary seeks to destabilize the situation and escalate tensions in the region through disinformation and psychological operations.
