Chas Pravdy - 02 September 2025 22:40

Former U.S.

President Donald Trump, one of the most controversial figures in modern politics, has once again voiced his dissatisfaction with Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s actions.

During a phone interview with radio host Scott Jennings, Trump stated that he is deeply disappointed by recent developments involving Russia and Ukraine, and announced that he is preparing certain measures to respond to this situation.

He expressed concern over the thousands of lives lost on both sides, emphasizing that if he had remained president, the war likely wouldn’t have started, thanks to his diplomatic approach which could have prevented such a conflict. Trump also stressed the importance of making every effort to save lives and restore peace.

‘This is not just about Ukraine; it’s a matter of humanity,’ he commented.

Additionally, the former president highlighted that around seven thousand military personnel die each week in the conflict.

‘I believe I can stop this bloodshed and will do everything to make that happen,’ he said. Meanwhile, in Europe, concerns about the conflict are growing.

Estonia’s Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur has already expressed that the U.S.

administration has become less optimistic about a peaceful resolution with Russia.

French President Emmanuel Macron warned that if no progress is made by September, world leaders cannot remain indifferent to Moscow’s behavior. According to media reports, Trump might temporarily suspend his efforts to resolve the conflict, waiting until the parties become more willing to make concessions.

His circle blames European leaders for Ukraine’s refusal to accept larger compromises for peace.

Such developments raise many questions about future diplomatic efforts and international political trends.
