In a significant телефон call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen discussed a series of strategic measures aimed at political, diplomatic, and economic stabilization amid the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Von der Leyen emphasized the European Union’s unwavering support for Ukraine in this brutal conflict and highlighted the EU’s commitment to Ukraine’s accession to the EU, along with its future recovery and prosperity.

She announced that the EU is actively working to shape conditions for a lasting and just peace, establishing platforms for diplomatic dialogue to end hostilities.

Zelensky, in turn, informed von der Leyen about his recent conversation with Donald Trump and about ongoing international diplomatic initiatives.

He stressed Ukraine’s openness to a fair and honest resolution of the war, noting that it has the support of the entire European Union.

The Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude to von der Leyen for her clear stance and support, adding that the EU will become one of the main partners in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, which is expected to turn into a large-scale economic project for Europe.

Meanwhile, the European Commission stated that the final format of negotiations to end the war has not yet been determined.

Media reports suggest that US President Donald Trump plans to meet with Vladimir Putin and Zelensky, but the participation of European representatives in these negotiations remains uncertain.

Diplomatic efforts to bring the conflict to a peaceful conclusion continue to be a priority, affecting Ukraine’s future, European security, and stability throughout the region.
