Trump States: Meeting with Putin Possible Only if He Meets Zelensky, Sources Say
According to sources within Donald Trump’s administration, the potential meeting between the former U.S.
president and Russian leader Vladimir Putin hinges entirely on Putin’s willingness to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
An unnamed White House representative informed The New York Post that the key condition for any interaction between Trump and Putin is that Putin must first meet with Zelensky.
The exact location of the possible summit has not yet been decided.
Earlier, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov announced that in the coming days—most likely next week—there are plans for a meeting between Putin and U.S.
President Donald Trump.
Trump himself has publicly expressed optimism about the chances of holding such a meeting soon.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the United Arab Emirates to be a suitable venue for a Russia-U.S.
leaders’ summit, should it take place.
