Major Incident at Railway Station in Volgograd Region Following UAV Attack
On the night of August 7th to 8th, a serious fire broke out at the railway station in the city of Surovichino, located in the Volgograd region of Russia.
The incident was triggered by a drone attack that caused structural damage and heightened regional tensions.
According to the region’s governor, Andrey Bocharov, the damage to industrial facilities and railway infrastructure was minimal, and efforts are already underway to rapidly repair and address the aftermath.Social media footage emerged showing the consequences of the attack.
Officials confirmed the assault, and fortunately, no injuries were reported among residents or station personnel.
Meanwhile, at another railway station in the region, Maksima Gorkogo, explosive disposal specialists are working to retrieve debris from the drones.The deputy governor emphasized that train services in the area continue as usual, indicating maintained control over logistics.
The Ukrainian military and authorities have yet to comment on the incident and its implications for Russian logistics.This event underscores the increasing security challenges in the region, as such actions have become part of the tactics employed in the ongoing confrontation.
Recall that a similar drone attack occurred earlier in the Rostov region at the Tacin railway station.
