Zelensky Shares Details of Talks with Trump and European Leaders on Ukraine Situation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his daily update via official Telegram channel, revealed insights into diplomatic discussions with world leaders surrounding the ongoing developments related to Ukraine.
According to him, the main focus was on ensuring the conclusion of the war under fair and honest terms.
Zelensky emphasized that his conversation with U.S.
President Donald Trump took place in a trusting and constructive atmosphere, and both leaders agreed that Ukraine’s victory must be achieved based on lawful and just principles.
He also expressed gratitude to European colleagues for their consistent support, highlighting that all leaders agree that the conflict should end fairly and without delays.Ahead of the discussions, Zelensky added that the interlocutors exchanged information regarding recent events in Moscow, including issues raised during recent contacts.
Recalling recent developments, he stated that Trump’s special envoy, Steve Vitecoff, held a nearly three-hour meeting with Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Wednesday.
According to Trump, this meeting was productive and facilitated understanding between the parties, capturing the global community’s interest.
Kremlin officials reported that during the conversation, Putin and Vitecoff exchanged signals concerning the war in Ukraine, indicating informal diplomatic contacts that could influence further developments.
