Zelensky Reveals Details of Phone Conversation with Trump Amid Ukraine-Russia Conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky openly disclosed the specifics of his recent phone call with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, which took place shortly after his visit to Sumy region.
According to the head of state, the discussion covered current issues related to the conflict, emphasizing the urgent need to end the war and achieve a fair peace.
Zelensky highlighted that while leaving the region with his troops, he had a brief yet significant conversation with Trump, reiterating his firm stance on concluding the war with honesty.Remarkably, at the same time, a representative of the Trump administration, Stephen Vitkoff, visited Moscow, indicating active diplomatic negotiations surrounding the Ukrainian conflict.
European leaders also participated in discussions, stressing the importance of diplomatic solutions.Reports from the White House state that talks between US Special Envoy Vitkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow were successful, and imminent secondary sanctions against countries trading with Russia are planned.
Moreover, Russia is considering the possibility of establishing an air ceasefire, although this does not mean the war’s end.Trump stated that his meeting with Vitkoff and Vladimir Putin was productive and marked significant progress in diplomatic talks, emphasizing the importance of dialogue to stabilize the situation in Ukraine.
