International Exhibition in Prague: Documenting Russian Crimes Against Ukraine

Chas Pravdy - 05 August 2025 15:39

On August 4th, the Czech capital of Prague hosted the opening of a unique exhibition titled 'Valka.

Vyrobeno v Rusku.

Artefakty rusko-ukrajinské války' (Battle.

Made in Russia.

Artifacts of the Russian-Ukrainian war).

This event marked a significant milestone in raising international awareness of Russia’s atrocities against Ukraine.

Organized by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation with support from the Ukrainian Institute in Prague, the exhibition aims to serve as tangible evidence of Russian aggression through objects collected over years of conflict.

Visitors can see remnants of rockets and shells that destroyed residential buildings, damaged toys, and personal belongings of victims.

Each artifact recounts a tragic chapter in Ukraine’s history, symbolizing the human toll of ongoing war since 2014 and especially after the full-scale invasion launched in February 2022.

The exhibition highlights the genocidal actions committed by occupying forces, shedding light on the brutal realities faced by civilians.

Artyom Mykolaichuk, head of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, emphasizes that the display reveals not just objects but the scope of crimes committed in the 21st century within Europe itself.

The opening was attended by Ukrainian and Czech officials, including Vlamidir Yelchenko, diplomatic adviser, Rostislav Prokopyuk, director of the Ukrainian Institute in Prague, and local representatives.

Vlamidir Yelchenko expressed gratitude to the Czech people for their unwavering support, highlighting the importance of military, humanitarian, and moral assistance provided to Ukraine.

The exhibition will run for three months, with plans to conduct guided tours for students, diplomats, and the public, as well as developing a digital version for international access.

Additionally, the #unrussiaUN initiative was presented, advocating for Russia’s expulsion from the UN.

All officials present signed a petition supporting this measure.

Mykolaichuk called on the global community to intensify efforts to end the aggression, impose strict sanctions, and expand support for Ukraine across international platforms.

This exhibition aims to maintain global attention on the ongoing war and its devastating impact, promoting justice and remembrance.

Future events and exhibitions are planned to deepen understanding of Ukraine’s fight for freedom and sovereignty.
