Zelensky Announces Agreement with Russia on the Exchange of 1200 Prisoners
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a recent meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, revealed that a significant agreement has been reached with the Russian side regarding the exchange of detainees.
According to Zelensky, negotiations are ongoing to finalize the lists, which include the exchange of 1,200 individuals.
The President emphasized that active discussions are being held to sort out all details of the operation.
The information was confirmed through an official Telegram message from Umerov, who briefed the President on communication with Russian representatives.
Additionally, Zelensky pointed out that an audit of the implementation of decisions made by the National Security and Defense Council and the Supreme Command Staff is currently underway.
He expressed concern that some of these decisions have not yet been executed, but assured that this situation will be corrected without delay.
It is noteworthy that, even half a month earlier, Umerov announced the start of an audit concerning the enforcement of key security decisions.
He stressed that work in this area is ongoing, and all necessary measures will be taken to restore stability and ensure the fulfillment of strategic plans.
