Russian Media Claims: Nearly a Hundred Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Overnight
In recent reports, Russian military authorities and news outlets have claimed that a significant number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), supposedly operated by Ukraine, were destroyed during the night.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, their air defense systems managed to intercept and eliminate 93 drones that allegedly aimed to escalate regional tensions and disrupt the security situation within the aggressor country.
The majority of these UAVs were reportedly shot down over the Black Sea – totaling 60 units, highlighting Ukrainian forces' engagement in maritime activities.
Additionally, it was reported that 18 drones were destroyed over the Voronezh region, 7 over Belgorod, 3 over Bryansk, 2 over Kursk, and single instances over Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar Krai, and the occupied Crimea.
Moreover, news reports indicated that in Sochi, a fire erupted at an oil depot as a result of a drone attack, further increasing regional tension and fueling informational narratives surrounding the ongoing conflict.
