Government Prepares Swift Personnel Decision: President to Receive Proposal to Dismiss Serhii Haidai Amid Corruption Allegations
Today, the Ukrainian government is set to prepare and formally submit to the president a draft decree on dismissing Serhii Haidai from his position as head of the Mukachevo District State Administration.
This personnel move is linked to suspicions of his involvement in corruption schemes, particularly in the procurement of radio-electronic warfare devices (REW) and drones.
The government session is scheduled for Saturday evening and has been announced by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
She informed on social media that within approximately thirty minutes, the Cabinet of Ministers will make a decision regarding this matter and forward the draft resolution to the President of Ukraine.According to information disclosed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, investigations into an organized criminal group are already underway, conducted by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) and NABU.
The criminal scheme involves several high-ranking officials, including the former head of the Luhansk regional military administration who now serves as acting head of a district military administration, a city military administration chief, National Guard unit commander, a beneficiary of an enterprise, and the director of a drone supply company.
All suspects are accused of participating in corruption activities and abuse of office, actions that undermine the country’s anti-corruption efforts and security measures. This decision marks another step in Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to combat corruption at various levels of government and enforce accountability among officials involved in illicit schemes that threaten national security.
