Controversial Republican Green’s Stance on Israel-Palestine Conflict: Criticism of U.S. Support and Calls for Action
Amid recent events in the Middle East, U.S.
politics and its key figures are once again attracting public attention.
Among the most sensational is Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green from Georgia, who posted a sharply critical message on social media about Israel's treatment of Palestinians and the broader approach of the United States to foreign policy, including military aid to conflicts abroad.
Green openly declared her disapproval of what she described as Israel's systematic elimination of its enemies and emphasized that such behavior is entirely unacceptable for a modern democracy.
She called on the Christian community to pay particular attention to the situation in Gaza, describing it as 'catastrophic and horrifying.' According to Green, innocent lives of both Israelis and Palestinians are equally important, and she argued that America should reconsider its financial support for foreign conflicts, especially those causing suffering and death among thousands of innocent civilians.
She highlighted that the Israeli government has already proven its ability to deal with its enemies independently by systematically clearing its land of hostile forces, but questioned the practicality of continuing unconditional U.S.
financial and political backing for these military actions.
In her statements, Green stressed that many Americans, even Christians, are no longer willing to associate themselves with wars conducted by secular Israel with nuclear capabilities, especially when such wars lead to hunger and the death of innocent people, including Christians.
She added that while the U.S.
opposes radical Islamic terrorism, it should not support genocide or actions that deliberately destroy innocent lives.
The search for diplomatic solutions and humanitarian aid has become a vital part of modern politics, she concluded.
Meanwhile, U.S.
support for Israel has plummeted to record lows, according to recent polls.
Concurrently, the U.S.
Special Envoy Steve Vickoff has visited Israel to facilitate ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and address the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian enclave.
He is also planning to visit Russia in pursuit of diplomatic resolutions.
