Andrii Sybiha Outlines Three Key Strategies to Pressure Russia into Peace
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha delivered a significant statement emphasizing the strategic measures needed to compel Russia to pursue peace.
According to him, achieving this goal requires focusing on three main avenues of international pressure, which should act as a formidable combined strike against the aggressor.
During a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart, Radosław Sikorski, Sybiha emphasized the importance of implementing strict sanctions, diplomatic isolation, and the full utilization of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine.
"It is time to go beyond merely extracting percentages from frozen Russian assets and instead use entire assets to rebuild Ukraine," Sybiha stated. He highlighted that Ukraine's security is an integral part of European security, asserting: "Ukraine is already a crucial contributor to European security systems." The minister also drew attention to the issue of Russia’s shadow fleet traffic, noting that about 70% of its activity passes through the Baltic Sea, and urged Poland to pay closer attention to this route.
Poland, soon to hold the presidency of the Baltic Union, has additional opportunities to implement measures to track and halt such operations.
