Government Significantly Simplifies Ammunition Production and Supply During Wartime
In recent days, the Ukrainian government has taken a decisive step towards bolstering the nation's defense capabilities by adopting a new resolution that substantially eases regulations around the production, procurement, and delivery of ammunition for the Ukrainian armed forces.
This initiative responds directly to the current challenges posed by the wartime conditions and serves as a critical mechanism for faster and more efficient provision of defense supplies.
According to the new provisions, enterprises that previously operated under experimental projects are now granted the opportunity to bypass unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles and licensing procedures.
Importantly, ongoing production lines will not be stopped, and companies will be able to continue their work without the need for repeated bureaucratic approvals.
The reforms simplify procedures related to the manufacture and circulation of explosive substances and ammunition, while maintaining validity for previously issued storage certificates.
A notable innovation is the recognition of hunting gunpowder used for military purposes as an explosive material of military designation, simplifying its deployment for military needs.
The resolution creates favorable conditions for the rapid launch of ammunition production, reduces administrative barriers, and aligns all previous documentation with the new regulations to avoid confusion.
This step aims to enhance the country’s military readiness by ensuring faster access to necessary materials and ammunition, thus strengthening national security during wartime.
Additionally, the government plans to streamline business operations through legislative reforms, including the abolition of numerous permits and licenses—63 in total—thus creating a more business-friendly environment optimized for defense industry needs.
