Chas Pravdy - 30 July 2025 00:35

On Thursday, the Ukrainian Parliament is expected to hold a crucial session during which lawmakers will consider potential amendments to the State Budget for 2025.
Special emphasis will be placed on funding the Ukrainian Armed Forces amid ongoing efforts to strengthen national defense.
Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, during an interview on national telemarathon, indicated that on July 31, the parliament might approve necessary adjustments to the budget concerning military finance and other priority sectors.
He also mentioned that on the same day, the consideration of a presidential bill aimed at increasing the effectiveness of anti-corruption agencies—namely NABU and SAP—will take place.
Stefanchuk emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers and civil servants must feel confident that the state provides them with financial stability and social protection.
Furthermore, he stated that the Verkhovna Rada is expecting a new draft budget plan for 2026 from the government, which will be a vital step in fiscal planning and adjustments.
Highlighting the importance of transparency and fiscal stability, Stefanchuk stated: “We strive to ensure an open and constructive dialogue in Parliament, so that every hryvnia is directed towards defense, strengthening our country, and achieving a just and sustainable peace.
This is a shared responsibility and goal that unites all Ukrainians and gives hope for the future.”
