Pro-Russian Political Parties Stage Rally in the Heart of Chisinau
Recently, the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, witnessed a significant rally organized by pro-Russian political factions that have recently united into a single bloc to promote their interests and influence the country's political landscape.
This event marked a notable moment in the nation's political life ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28.
According to sources, the rally was attended by leading pro-Russian parties, including the Party of Socialists led by former President Igor Dodon, the Communist Party, the 'Heart of Moldova' party headed by Irina Vlah, and 'Moldova’s Future' led by Vasile Târleț.
The event took place near the National Opera and Ballet Theater, where several hundred participants gathered, chanting slogans against the current government led by Maia Sandu and her 'Action and Solidarity' (PAS) party.
Igor Dodon personally addressed the crowd, accusing the government of establishing a dictatorship and claiming that the country is under external control from the EU, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Irina Vlah, former leader of the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit, called for holding accountable the so-called 'yellow' opponents and ending the chaos and poverty engulfing the nation.
Notably, the parliamentary elections are scheduled for September 28, which will determine Moldova's future pro-European trajectory.
These developments highlight the ongoing political tension in the country and deepening divisions over its geopolitical orientation—either towards the West or the East.
