Zelensky Promises to Pass Law Strengthening Independence of Anti-Corruption Bodies and Reinforcing Rule of Law
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to introduce a new bill to the Verkhovna Rada, aimed at significantly strengthening the rule of law and ensuring the independence of anti-corruption institutions.
In a video address widely shared on social networks, the head of state emphasized that this legislative initiative seeks to eliminate any Russian influence or interference in the activities of law enforcement agencies.
The bill will also include safeguards that guarantee the independence of anti-corruption bodies.
Zelensky stressed that key officials, including the Attorney General, will participate in drafting the proposals for this law.
The president clarified that this bill will be part of his broader strategy to transform the state and to bolster legal integrity and anti-corruption efforts nationwide, representing a decisive step toward the modernization of Ukraine’s governance and judicial systems.
