On Wednesday, the Ukrainian government convened a crucial and strategic meeting with ambassadors from the G7 countries to discuss strengthening anti-corruption policies and efforts to prevent interference in the nation's internal affairs.
Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced that Ukraine plans to submit a new legislative bill shortly, aimed at eliminating existing discrepancies within the legal framework and solidifying the institutional independence of anti-corruption bodies such as NABU and SAP.
According to her, these reforms will create formidable barriers to external and internal influences, particularly from aggressors, and minimize opportunities for political entities to interfere in law enforcement activities.
She emphasized that this bill is Ukraine’s response to both internal democratic challenges and external attempts to meddle in its politics.
Previously, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko met with G7 representatives to discuss operations aimed at neutralizing Russian influence on Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and ongoing judicial reforms.
Ukraine demonstrates its firm commitment to combating corruption and external meddling, establishing a strong foundation for future reforms in justice and national security.
