Servant of the People faction urges shift from emotions to constructive action in anti-corruption reforms

Chas Pravdy - 23 July 2025 16:38

Within the 'Servant of the People' political faction, an official statement has been issued regarding the ongoing situation surrounding the work of anti-corruption agencies, including NABU, SAPO, SBU, Ministry of Internal Affairs, DBC, and NACP.
The representatives emphasize the importance of moving away from emotionally charged and confrontational statements towards pragmatic steps and tangible decisions that can effectively strengthen the country’s law enforcement and anti-corruption system.
According to the faction leader, David Arakhamia, a crucial element at this stage is organizing a productive meeting between the president and the heads of the mentioned agencies, which will serve as a foundation for developing a comprehensive reform plan.
Arakhamia highlights that such a plan should include specific measures that will alleviate existing tensions and improve system efficiency.
Although no detailed steps have been disclosed, he assures that the 'Servant of the People' will continue to support legislative and organizational changes as needed.
Once the reform plan is prepared and presented, the faction is ready to endorse it politically and allocate the necessary resources for its implementation.
Observers note that currently, there is a lack of concrete details concerning future reforms, but officials and politicians remain committed to moving toward a more transparent and accountable anti-corruption system.
