Budanov urges unity and constructive dialogue amid internal conflicts

Chas Pravdy - 23 July 2025 02:21

Amid intense political and social debates surrounding the adoption of the controversial Bill No.12414 and ensuing protests, Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, calls on Ukrainians to focus on internal contradictions that weaken the nation's resilience. He emphasizes that history has taught Ukraine valuable lessons, and the most crucial is to remain united during times of crisis to avoid losing what is most precious. Budanov states, “We have a common enemy — external aggression, and internal divisions only strengthen its position. Therefore, resolving internal conflicts should be achieved through dialogue and compromise to prevent the fragmentation of our society.” He believes that national security and stability depend on a strong military and reliable institutions. The intelligence chief urges responsible and wise decision-making, stressing that only through united efforts can Ukraine overcome current challenges and preserve its independence and territorial integrity.
