The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, officially signed into law a bill approved by parliament on Tuesday, which significantly impacts the functioning and independence of Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies, including NABU and SAP.
The law introduces amendments to the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine, sparking widespread debate among society and experts.
According to official sources, the law has already been sent to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signature.
This means that he will soon make a final decision on this legislation, which has raised concerns regarding its effects on the independence of anti-corruption institutions and the future reform of the country's legal system.
