Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, reviewed issues related to long-range strikes targeting Russia and discussed prospects for strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
The meeting involved military leadership and top officials, who summarized recent strike results and outlined future plans.
Zelensky emphasized that these operations aim to intensify pressure on Russian logistics, which, according to Ukrainian authorities, must face substantial losses due to the prolongation of the war.
Participants discussed the urgent need to ramp up production of various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), used both for frontline combat and protecting cities and communities from kamikaze drones.
The president assured that in the near future, Ukraine will sign several additional contracts for the supply and manufacturing of these UAVs, significantly boosting the country’s defensive potential and reducing risks for civilians.
This move is part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to enhance its defenses and counter Russian aggression, Zelensky stated on his Telegram channel, adding that the country is committed to using all available means to protect its independence and territorial integrity.
