Trump Threatens Iran with New Strikes on Nuclear Sites if They Attempt to Restart Activities

Chas Pravdy - 19 July 2025 23:21

Former U.S. President Donald Trump issued stern warnings regarding potential military actions against Iran's nuclear facilities should Tehran attempt to revive or build new nuclear sites. In a statement released on his public social media platform, Truth Social, Trump declared that Washington is prepared to deliver a significant blow to Iran's nuclear infrastructure, destroying or disabling their facilities. According to him, following an American strike, all three of Iran’s main nuclear objects have already been destroyed or rendered inoperative, and restoring them would take years of effort. He emphasized that any attempt by Iran to bring these sites back online would likely result in their destruction once again. “If Iran decides to proceed, it would be far better for them to start from scratch — in three separate locations — before these sites are actually destroyed, if they choose to go down that path,” Trump stated. Reaffirming U.S. resolve, he warned that all efforts to reactivate Iran’s nuclear infrastructure would be swiftly thwarted. Earlier, NBC News reported that one of the three uranium enrichment facilities attacked by the U.S. last month was nearly completely destroyed, while the other two suffered less severe damage and could potentially be repaired within a few months. Meanwhile, Iran's parliament issued a statement on July 16, asserting that the country refuses to re-engage in nuclear negotiations with the United States until all previous conditions are met. This escalation adds to international tensions and complicates diplomatic solutions concerning Iran’s nuclear program.
