Ministry of Digital Transformation Revises ‘Own Business’ Program: Opportunities and Grant Sizes for Ukrainian Entrepreneurs
Ukraine continues to implement the ‘Own Business’ program aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through the provision of government grants.
Recently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation approved a new постанову, substantially altering the participation conditions and maximum financial support available to applicants.
Starting January 2024, grants can be awarded not only to veterans and their relatives but also to their parents and adult children, as well as individuals with war-related disabilities.
According to Ministry representatives, the program has expanded, and the maximum grant size now varies depending on the project goals and the number of jobs created.
Specifically, up to 100,000 hryvnias are available for initial business setup without additional requirements; for one created job, grants can reach 200,000 hryvnias; for two jobs — up to 300,000 hryvnias.
Special support lines are also provided for youth aged 18-25 — up to 200,000 hryvnias, and for families of fallen or missing defenders — up to one million hryvnias for four jobs.
Importantly, successful implementation of the first project allows entrepreneurs to receive an additional micro-grant for further development.
To facilitate opening grant accounts, the program now includes Sensi Bank, along with the familiar PrivatBank and Oschadbank.
Entrepreneurs are advised to stay tuned for updates and prepare the necessary documentation to participate successfully in the ‘Own Business’ program.
