What Ukrainians Can Expect Regarding Electricity Tariffs During the Winter Heating Season?
In Ukraine, it is crucial for household consumers to pay their utility bills on time, including electricity payments and monthly meter readings.
Recently, the government announced significant changes in electricity tariffs that will directly impact Ukrainian households during the winter season.
Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko shared via her Telegram channel that the government of Ukraine has extended the support program for electricity pricing until April 30, 2026.
This continuation guarantees that electricity tariffs during the heating period will remain unchanged at 4.32 UAH per kWh.
Additionally, there are preferential tariffs for consumers using electric heating: up to 2000 kWh per month will cost only 2.64 UAH per kWh, while consumption exceeding that threshold will be billed at the standard rate of 4.32 UAH per kWh.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive support plan aimed at alleviating the financial burden on Ukrainian families during winter.
Accurate and timely payment of utility services also helps avoid penalties and may reduce bills, even if previous services were inadequate in quality.
