Current State of the Labor Market in Ukraine: Jobs, Salary Levels, and Trends 2025

The Ukrainian labor market is undergoing significant changes driven by economic transformations and employer needs.
An analysis of recent data, including research from the OLX platform, highlights a strong demand for manual labor professions and high salary levels in industries experiencing a workforce deficit.
Over recent months, there has been a noticeable increase in wages in construction, transportation, and service sectors, attracting more candidates.
The most critical shortages are found among salespersons, drivers, general laborers, cooks, and baristas, with salaries ranging from 42,000 to 55,000 hryvnias.
High demand is also observed in fields with numerous entry-level and student vacancies—such as online store managers, chat operators, packers, and security guards.
Jobs with higher pay are gaining popularity, especially those catering to socially vulnerable groups, whose applications are three times higher than average.
At the same time, the number of offers for foreign workers remains relatively low—only 13% of companies are open to hiring foreigners.
As of August 2025, the highest median salaries are found among construction specialists like façade installers and plasterers, earning around 55,000 hryvnias.
Meanwhile, drivers and masons earn approximately 50,000 hryvnias.
Overall, the Ukrainian labor market demonstrates a positive trend toward increased wages and openness to new applicants, though issues such as attracting foreign workers and supporting socially vulnerable groups remain relevant.
