Recent developments from Ukraine’s government and industrial policy committee reveal an expanded list of equipment eligible for state support under the «Made in Ukraine» program.

Ukrainian enterprises and organizations can now receive a 15% financial reimbursement for the purchase of various types of equipment and components.

The list includes modern drilling rigs, logistical equipment, boilers, precision machinery, and notably, components for drone manufacturing.

The mechanism provides that companies purchasing Ukrainian-made equipment with their own funds or profits derived from their economic activities can claim this reimbursement.

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko emphasized that this decision holds strategic importance for supporting domestic manufacturers and stimulating the local market.

She pointed out that adding drone components to the list creates additional demand for Ukrainian products in this sector, fostering technological advancement and modernization of the defense and security industries.

Moreover, this initiative aims to improve the presence of Ukrainian goods in the domestic market and make them more accessible to both public and private sectors.

Earlier, at the end of last year, when Sviridenko led the Ministry of Economy, she stated that Ukraine’s economy could grow by about 4%, with nearly 0.64% (or over 88 billion hryvnias) resulting from the «Made in Ukraine» policy.

However, this optimistic outlook has faced criticism in the Verkhovna Rada, with some parliamentarians from the «Golos» faction warning about potential exaggerations or unrealistic claims, describing the situation as a «fantasy» or «political illusion» of some elites.

This reflects ongoing tension between executive authorities and lawmakers regarding the actual economic results of Ukraine’s strategic initiatives.
