Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, unveiled a significant government initiative aimed at fostering a more conducive environment for entrepreneurship by introducing a two-year moratorium on scheduled business inspections.
This historic measure is designed to reduce bureaucratic burdens, encourage business growth, and establish transparent and fair rules for all entrepreneurs operating within the country.
According to the Prime Minister, this decision is the result of ongoing efforts to streamline administrative procedures and curb excessive oversight.
"The President has set a clear task—to create an environment that stimulates economic activity, reduces bureaucracy, and promotes fair competition.
In response, we are implementing a moratorium on inspections and strengthening protections for honest businesses against unwarranted interference," Sviridenko stated via her Facebook page.
Additionally, the government has launched an audit of criminal cases against entrepreneurs, with plans to close unjustified proceedings that impede business operations.
New criminal cases will only be initiated by top officials—General Prosecutor or regional and district leaders.
Law enforcement oversight will be intensified, and inspections will be limited to areas with higher risks, ensuring the protection of legitimate businesses from abuse.
Furthermore, changes to legislation are underway to establish a just oversight mechanism, safeguard business interests, and allow for the effective use of confiscated assets from the aggressor country.
As part of the broader strategy to strengthen Ukraine’s defense industry, a new grant program will be launched to support the production of ammunition and explosive materials domestically.
This initiative, managed by Mikhail Fedorov and Denys Shmyhal, aims to enhance the country's defense capabilities.
Details of the program will be announced after relevant government decisions.
It is noteworthy that starting from January 1, 2025, inspections of businesses will revert to pre-war levels, ensuring stability and transparency in the economic sector.
