Heavy Rainfall Expected: Detailed Weather Forecast for Ukraine this Week
Over the next couple of days, Ukraine will experience significant atmospheric disturbances bringing prolonged and intense rainfall across large parts of the country.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on Tuesday, October 28, rainy conditions with moderate to heavy precipitation are forecasted starting from early morning in the eastern and southeastern regions.
In certain areas of Luhansk and Donetsk, heavy rains accompanied by wind gusts reaching 20 meters per second are predicted.
Western Ukraine will face minimal rainfall; other regions will remain dry.
In the evening, local brief showers are expected throughout the country, except in eastern parts.
Winds will shift from the west and southwest at speeds of 7-12 m/s, with gusts up to 15-20 m/s prominent in the western zones.
Night temperatures will hover between 1 and 6 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will range from 8 to 13 degrees; the southern and southeastern regions may reach 16 degrees.
In the Carpathians, moderate wet snow and rain are anticipated overnight, with lighter precipitation during the day, possibly causing wet snow adhesion, and wind gusts up to 22 m/s.
Temperatures there will be around 0 degrees at night and 1-6 degrees in the daytime.
Kyiv will experience a dry night, but light rain is expected during the day with southwest winds at 7-12 m/s.
Night temperatures will be between 3 and 5°C, and 10-12°C during the day.
Similarly, for Wednesday, October 29, Ukraine will face light rainfall mainly in the southern regions, with wind speeds of 7-12 m/s and gusts reaching 20 m/s in the western areas and Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
Night temperatures will be from 1 to 6 degrees, with daytime temperatures between 8 and 13 degrees, and up to 16 degrees in the south.
In the Carpathians, light snow and rain will continue overnight and during the day, with wind gusts of up to 22 m/s.
Temperatures in these mountains will be close to zero at night and between 1-6°C during the day.
Kyiv will also see light rain on Wednesday with a similar wind pattern and temperatures remaining within +3…+12°C.
