Forecast update: Rain and cool weather expected across Ukraine at the start of the week
At the beginning of this week, Ukrainians are forecasted to experience a notably changeable weather pattern characterized by intermittent rainfall and a drop in temperature.
According to leading meteorologist Natalka Didenko, Monday, October 27, will bring rainy conditions to central regions of Ukraine, excluding Vinnytsia, as well as to the south, east, and Sumy region.
Along with the rainfall, a strengthening of southeastern wind is expected, which will add to the overall chill.
Western and northern territories, along with Vinnytsia, are not forecasted to see significant precipitation.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range from +7 to +12 degrees Celsius, with warmer conditions in the south and southeast, up to +16.
In Kyiv, Monday will be dry with daytime temperatures holding at around +8 to +10 degrees.
The first half of the week will remain cool with periodic rain showers, prompting residents to consider additional heating options for their homes.
From Thursday onwards, an increase in temperature and clearer skies are predicted across most regions.
Meteorologists reassure that the weather situation is relatively calm, and there is no need to panic or believe in apocalyptic forecasts.
Autumn continues its gradual transition, with less sunshine and warmth at the beginning of the week, though sunny and warmer weather is expected by Friday and Saturday.
Experts also remind Ukrainians to pay attention to environmental care, health, and the safety of loved ones during colder periods.
Radioelectronics and communication specialist Sergey Beskrestnov previously provided his outlook on the upcoming winter in Kyiv — with temperatures in apartments estimated between +5 and +10 degrees, it’s advisable to consider non-electric heating options or to temporarily relocate to a countryside house, such as a dacha, to avoid the cold.
