Ukraine Receives Proposal to Develop Peace Plan Inspired by Gaza Model — Political Alliances Discuss Possible Scenarios
Amid intense conflicts and international negotiations, renowned British politician and former Prime Minister Keir Starmer has proposed the creation of a comprehensive peace plan for Ukraine.
According to media reports, this idea emerged during a telephone conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of the European Union and the United States.
Starmer suggested adopting a structure similar to Donald Trump’s 20-point plan designed for resolving the Gaza situation.
The plan includes critical steps such as an immediate ceasefire, large-scale reconstruction and infrastructure recovery, prisoner exchanges including the bodies of the deceased, the release of detained individuals, the creation of a special economic zone to foster investment, and interfaith dialogue to enhance international stability.
Experts, however, voice skepticism about the plan’s potential effectiveness, given the current realities.
Israel has already blamed Hamas for violating agreements regarding exchange of bodies, complicating efforts.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has called for an urgent coordination meeting among security advisors of European nations scheduled for the upcoming weekend.
Notably, there is speculation that a potential meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Budapest could benefit Russia.
Meanwhile, in Washington, a tense meeting took place between U.S.
President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reports indicate that diplomatic discussions centered around the ongoing conflict and possible pathways to resolution.
Trump emphasized the importance of avoiding escalation, urging Ukraine to pursue diplomatic solutions and refused to provide the promised Tomahawk missiles, citing concerns over further escalation and the need to prevent additional losses ahead of the winter season.
