Ukrainian President Zelensky Lands in the United States
The aircraft carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has successfully landed at the U.S.
Air Force base Andrews in Maryland.
The flight, which departed from Shannon Airport in Ireland, lasted over six and a half hours.
According to FlightAware, the Ukrainian State Aviation Service’s aircraft “Ukraine,” with Zelensky on board, touched down at the military base, with additional confirmation from airnavradar.com.
This trip is of high diplomatic significance as the Ukrainian leader aims to participate in a scheduled meeting with U.S.
President Donald Trump on October 17.
The main agenda includes discussions on military support, notably the potential delivery of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which could greatly enhance its defensive capabilities.
It is also noteworthy that on October 16, President Trump held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, highlighting the growing international tensions and the importance of upcoming diplomatic talks.
