Ukrainian Naval Air Defense Successfully Intercepts Kamikaze Drones in the Night of October 6

On the night of October 6, the Ukrainian Naval Forces demonstrated a high level of readiness and swift response by effectively shooting down enemy kamikaze drones, including four SHAHED-136 UAVs that were targeting Ukrainian territories.
This successful operation was reported by the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Navy, emphasizing that Ukrainian sailors, together with other defense units, continue to heroically fight the enemy across all fronts — in the air, on the sea, and on land.
During the night, the air defense systems managed to destroy several enemy drones, although exact locations of the interceptions remain undisclosed.
It is known that alarm signals were activated in all coastal regions — Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.
Around 2 a.m., many residents of the region heard loud explosions, especially in the areas of the port city of Pivdenne and nearby villages Bilyary.
Additionally, reports indicate that Russian forces successfully launched drone strikes on Kharkiv, causing destruction and casualties.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military aviation continues to operate across the country, responding to any threats from enemy air targets.
Earlier reports also mentioned explosions in Kyiv region around 1:30 a.m., which were neutralized by air defense systems.
