The Ukrainian youth football team participating in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup has identified its upcoming opponent in the knockout stage.

Following an intense and thrilling group stage in Chile, Dmitry Mikhaylenko’s squad is set to face Spain in the Round of 16.

The Spanish team finished third in Group C.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, at 22:30 Kyiv time.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinals to face either Colombia or South Africa.

It is noteworthy that Ukraine topped their group, earning a draw against Panama (1:1) and victories over South Korea (2:1) and Paraguay (2:1).

Spain, in their group, accumulated 4 points, suffering a defeat to Morocco (0:2), drawing with Mexico (2:2), and defeating Brazil (1:0).

This tournament marks Ukraine’s fifth appearance at a youth World Cup.
