State Border Guard Service Denies Rumors about Assault Aircraft and Shares Results of Meeting with Former Kasyanov Unit

Amid recent speculation surrounding the activities of Kasyanov’s unit, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service officially announced the outcomes of its recent meeting with former servicemen of this unit.
The head of the State Border Guard Service, Lieutenant General Serhii Deyneko, together with spokesperson Andrii Demchenko, held a meeting with 50 former military personnel to provide them with accurate information regarding the situation and to dispel false rumors.
The purpose was not only to clarify the facts but also to prevent manipulation and disinformation circulating about the unit’s activities.
During the discussion, the command explained that the decision to disband Kasyanov’s unit was made due to its inefficiency concerning current military tasks.
Furthermore, the military personnel were assured that their safety and future employment are secured: they will be reassigned to other combat units and branches of the State Border Guard Service, especially in reconnaissance and drone strike systems, according to their qualifications.
Demchenko emphasized that the core value of the service is people, and any rumors about ‘attack aircraft on Dobropillia’s front’ are outright falsehoods.
He stated that the main goal is to effectively counter the enemy, each within their capabilities and training.
The veterans confirmed that they feel no pressure from the leadership and received comprehensive answers to all their questions.
This situation highlights the importance of transparency and openness in reform processes and the re-equipment of Ukraine’s security forces, which are critical for ensuring national security and regional stability.
