German intelligence warns of potential Kremlin plans to attack NATO

Recent intelligence from Germany reveals that discussions are ongoing within Kremlin circles regarding the possibility of initiating a new phase of military actions against the Alliance.
According to European Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, in an interview with Wyborcza, there is evidence indicating high-level Kremlin officials are contemplating scenarios for a potential attack on NATO members.
While currently unable to confirm whether these plans are concrete, experts and analysts interpret these signals as highly serious, signaling a possible escalation.
Kubilius emphasized that Russia might be preparing for an all-out conflict, and therefore, NATO and Europe must be prepared for any developments.
He also noted that the EU is actively working to strengthen defense capabilities through supporting the military-industrial complex, aiming for increased production of artillery shells and manufacturing new weapons facilities by 2025.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed reports of any plans to attack NATO as ‘nonsense,’ asserting that if European leaders truly believe this, they are ‘incompetent.’ Meanwhile, The Economist suggests that Putin could exploit internal divisions within NATO to undermine alliance unity from within, potentially destabilizing the collective security architecture.
