Droneattack on Crimea’s Largest Oil Depot in Feodosia: a New Strike on Russian Targets in the Occupied Peninsula

On the night from Sunday to Monday, October 6th, a significant drone attack took place on the occupied Crimean peninsula, linked to ongoing security concerns in the region.
Unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the largest oil storage facility in Feodosia, an important strategic site for Russia’s military and energy infrastructure.
According to local reports, the attack occurred around 1:40 a.m.
Multiple powerful explosions followed, visible at distances exceeding 30 kilometers.
The fire that broke out at the oil terminal resulted in at least two separate combustion zones.
Russian emergency services promptly blocked the Kerch Highway, which runs close to the burning facility.
Despite the severity of the incident, Russian officials in Crimea, including the region’s puppet leader Sergey Aksyonov and his spokesman Konstantinov, have not issued any official comments concerning the attack.
Meanwhile, reports indicate additional strikes on military objects between Eupatoria and Uzhutne, along with powerful explosions near the Kacha airfield and in the Andriivka area.
Sources reveal that one of the hits targeted a Russian PVO radar.
The Feodosia oil terminal is the largest in Crimea and has been attacked multiple times before.
Past strikes significantly reduced its capacity: out of 34 tanks, only 22 remained undamaged.
The most damaging attack occurred in October 2024 when 12 tanks were hit, and eight of them were completely destroyed by fire, resulting in a week-long effort to extinguish the blaze.
The facility has been subject to continuous attacks, aiming to undermine Russia’s military logistics in the annexed region.
The recent strike underscores Ukraine’s strategic effort to weaken enemy resources and disrupt Russian supply chains in Crimea.
