Massive Russian Attack: 13 Drones Shot Down in Cherkasy Region, Power Outages Reported

The large-scale air strikes orchestrated by Russia have once again heightened tensions across Ukraine.
In the night of October 5, Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted a massive drone assault over the Cherkasy region, destroying a total of 13 reconnaissance and attack drones sent by the enemy.
These strikes resulted in damage to several power lines, leaving part of the local population without electricity.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Igor Taburets, drone crashes damaged power transmission lines in the Cherkasy district, prompting emergency repair crews from Obľenergo to mobilize and begin restoration work.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported during these nocturnal hostilities, though the situation remains critical due to the scale of the assaults.
In neighboring regions, such as Chernihiv, authorities introduced scheduled power outages to mitigate further damage and ensure stability amid ongoing attacks.
Reports also mention that in Zaporizhzhia, one person lost their life, and ten others were wounded as a result of the Russian shelling.
Despite the night raids, western regions like Lviv experienced disruptions, with public transport services halted temporarily and parts of the city left without electricity, underscoring the persistent danger faced by Ukrainian communities.
