Massive Air Raid in Western Ukraine: Explosions and Air Defense Operations
On October 5th, early in the morning, western regions of Ukraine found themselves under a significant missile and air attack, which was accompanied by powerful explosions and active air defense responses.
Starting from 6:30 AM, loud blasts were reported in several cities and districts, drawing the attention of local residents and spreading across the area.
Specifically, Ivanо-Frankivsk mayor Ruslan Marcin’k announced that the city’s air defense systems had been activated, indicating attempts to intercept incoming missiles or kamikaze drones.
At 6:36 AM, powerful explosions were heard in Lviv, causing panic among residents and prompting them to seek shelter.
Minutes later, at 6:41, explosions echoed in Rivne, and at 6:46 in Ivano-Frankivsk and Burshtyn.
The Striy district also experienced explosions, maintaining a tense situation.
By 7:00 AM in Lviv, the series of detonations continued, confirming the масштаб and systemic nature of the attack.
Security and defense services are working intensively to prevent further missile strikes and to ensure civilian safety.
